Kids Dentistry Murphy TX

Gentle dentistry in Murphy, TX keeps kids smiling

At Southfork Dental, the office really lights up when little guests arrive. We enjoy providing positive experiences that help children of all ages develop terrific dental habits. Some of the brightest young smiles across the Plano, Frisco, Irving, and Murphy, TX area have a little help from Dr. Bindu Kolli and her kid’s dentistry team.

A lifetime of healthy smiles

It is never too late to start taking your child the dentist. However, the earlier dental care starts, the better your child’s oral health is protected.

Schedule the first dental visit by the child’s first birthday – a tooth or two will likely be visible. We make the appointment relaxed and fun, helping the child look forward to future visits. It is fine to talk with your child about the appointment, but there is no need to over-explain. Let the child see that you view a trip to the dentist as no big deal.

We may ask one parent to accompany the child into the treatment room, allowing our team to focus on the work at hand. The little one gets to know our staff and becomes familiar with the sights and sounds of a dental office. We count teeth, clean the mouth, and answer your questions about home hygiene, nutrition, baby bottle feeding, pacifiers, oral development, or other dental issues. Then, regular six-month checkups are recommended.

First Visit

The First Visit

Dr. Kolli and the staff have significant experience with treating children of all ages. Our goal is to leave a positive and long-lasting impression that allows the patient to view dental visits as fun and enjoyable. Throughout the visit, cartoons are playing in order to distract the child from the process at hand and put him/her at ease.

Visit dentist by first birthday.

Inform your child about the visit but don't over explain. If you act like the visit is not a big deal then generally your child will too!

We ask that if needed one parent accompany the patient to the operatory. This allows our staff the room they need in order to better treat your child.
